If you’ve experienced violence, assault, or another form of trauma, counselling can help you process what happened and begin to restore a sense of safety and stability. My approach is trauma-informed and focused on helping you understand both the emotional and physical effects of what you’ve been through, while supporting gradual, sustainable healing at your own pace.
I am an approved service provider with the Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP) through the BC Ministry of Justice. While I’m not currently accepting new CVAP-funded clients, this designation reflects my training and experience in supporting survivors of crime and violence. Many clients choose to work with me privately and, if eligible, submit receipts to their extended health provider for reimbursement.
If you’d like to explore whether my approach feels like a good fit, I welcome you to reach out for a 15-minute consultation.
You can also visit my Trauma page for more information on trauma, symptoms, and treatment.
I have advanced training and experience using Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) in treating trauma and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). EMDR is an evidence-based and highly effective treatment for trauma that has been recommended by the World Health Organization.
